In the last 24 hours, 851,865 swabs were processed with a positive rate of 3.6%. After the threshold of one thousand hospitalized in intensive care, there are 1,012 with 25 new entries in the last 24 hours. Since yesterday, 280 patients have been hospitalized with more symptoms.

“Today in Lazio, out of 22,407 molecular swabs and 42,131 antigenic swabs for a total of 64,538 swabs, there are 2,285 new positive cases (+647), 13 deaths (-1), 915 hospitalized (+11), 128 people in intensive care (+9) and +1.104 the healed. LOMBARDY – There are 8,292 new infections from Coronavirus today, 21 December in Lombardy, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. Since yesterday 17 people have died for a total of 34,793 since the start of the pandemic. In the last 24 hours, 203,314 swabs were processed for a positivity index of 4%. In the hospitals of the region there are 1,307 (+50) hospitalized and 161 (-2) in intensive care.
There are 3,548 new Coronavirus positive cases recorded in the last 24 hours in the province of Milan, of which 1,534 in Milan city. According to the data released by the Lombardy Region, in Bergamo there are 394, in Brescia 619, in Como 332, in Cremona 189, in Lecco 195, in Lodi 253, in Mantua 302, in Monza and Brianza 772, in Pavia 431, in Sondrio 42. and in Varese 686.
FRIULI VENEZIA GIULIA – There are 515 new coronavirus infections in Friuli Venezia Giulia according to today’s bulletin, 21 December. There are also another 10 deaths. On 6,355 molecular swabs 386 new infections were detected, with a positive percentage of 6.07%. In addition, 16,152 rapid antigenic tests were carried out, from which 129 cases (0.80%) were detected. The under-19 age group is confirmed to be the first with 20.78% of new positives, followed by the 40-49 age group with 16.31%, the 50-59 age group with 15.73% and the 30-39 with 14.17%. This was announced by the deputy governor of the Region with responsibility for Health Riccardo Riccardi.
SARDINIA – There are 186 coronavirus infections registered today, 21 December, in Sardinia, based on 3,360 people tested. This was reported by the region’s Covid bulletin. A total of 11,710 swabs were processed, including molecular and antigenic. There are 12 patients admitted to intensive care units (same figure as yesterday) while 115 (4 fewer than yesterday) are in the medical area. There are 4,085 cases of home isolation (32 more than yesterday) and two deaths are recorded: a 92-year-old man, residing in the province of Oristano, and another person in the province of Nuoro.
PIEDMONT – There are 3,218 coronavirus infections in Piedmont today, 21 December 2021, according to the covid numbers of the bulletin. Recorded 9 more deaths. In detail, the new cases (of which 2119 after antigenic tests) are equal to 4.1% of 77,572 swabs performed, of which 63,791 antigenic. Of the 3,218 infected, the asymptomatic are 2,033 (63.2%).
There are 830 hospitalized patients not in intensive care (+68 compared to yesterday). The number of people admitted to intensive care is 64 (+2 compared to yesterday). There are 27,207 people in home isolation. The diagnostic swabs processed so far are 11,057,691 (+77,572 compared to yesterday), of which 2,624,008 were negative.
Nine deaths of people positive for the Covid-19 test, two today, were reported by the Crisis Unit of the Piedmont Region. The total then becomes 11,962.
PUGLIA – There are 673 coronavirus infections in Puglia today, 21 December 2021, according to the covid numbers of the region’s bulletin. Recorded 4 more deaths. New cases were identified on 29,928 swabs. The cases are divided as follows: province of Bari 129; Bat province 90; province of Brindisi 57; province of Foggia 85; province of Lecce 199; province of Taranto 99; residents outside the region 13; Province in definition 1.
Currently positive people are 7,723. There are 167 covid patients admitted to hospital in a non-critical area. In the intensive care unit, on the other hand, 21 are ill.
TUSCANY – There are 1,316 new coronavirus infections in Tuscany according to today’s bulletin, 21 December. There are also 4 other deaths. 48,847 tests carried out, of which 12,466 molecular swabs and 36,381 rapid tests. The president of the Region Eugenio Giani communicates this on his social profiles. The rate of new positives is 2.69% (11.3% on first diagnoses). The currently positive are 18,181 today, + 5.8% compared to yesterday. There are 424 hospitalized (18 more than yesterday), of which 61 in intensive care (stable).
Today there are 4 new deaths: 2 men and 2 women with an average age of 79.5 years. These are the data – ascertained at 12 today on the basis of the requests of the National Civil Protection – relating to the progress of the epidemic in the region.
VALLE D’AOSTA – There are 109 new coronavirus infections in Valle d’Aosta according to today’s bulletin, 21 December. On the other hand, there are no new deaths. The total number of people infected with the virus from the beginning of the epidemic to 14,426. The current positive cases are 939, of which 915 in home isolation, 23 hospitalized, one in intensive care. The healed are a total of 13,000, +44 compared to yesterday. The cases tested to date are 103,824, the total of swabs carried out is equal to 333,033. The deaths of people who tested positive for Covid in Valle D’Aosta from the beginning of the emergency to today are 487.
BASILICATA – There are 169 new coronavirus infections today 21 December 2021 in Basilicata, according to data and numbers from the latest Covid-19 bulletin of the Region. No new deaths. The new cases were detected on a total of 1,988 molecular swabs. There are 57 recovered or negativized Lucanians. Hospitalizations for Covid-19 are on the rise, the number has risen to 38 (+6) of which none in intensive care: 17 in the Potenza hospital and 21 in the Matera one. Overall, the current positives residing in Basilicata are 1,997 (+106).
On the vaccine front, 3,167 administrations were carried out yesterday, of which about 2,800 are third doses. So far 443,213 Lucanians have received the first dose of the vaccine (80.1 percent of the total population residing in Basilicata), 410,709 have completed the vaccination cycle (74.2 percent) and 125,629 are the third doses (22.7 percent ), for a total of 979,551 administrations carried out.

In the last 24 hours, 170 people have recovered. 128 are hospitalized in the medical area, while 19 intensive care units are employed. Among the provinces with the highest number of new cases Chieti at 117, Pescara at 67, Teramo at 29 and L’Aquila at 23.
CAMPANIA – There are 2,297 new infections from Coronavirus today, 21 December 2021, according to Covid-19 data in the latest bulletin of the Region. In the last 48 hours there have been 6 deaths, but another 10 have been recorded in recent days. In Campania there are 29 Covid patients hospitalized in intensive care, 2 fewer than yesterday, and 458 Covid patients hospitalized in hospital wards, 19 more than the figure released yesterday.
