“To sell to hoteliers the tickets of the Festival destined, free of charge, to the provincial offices of public administrations”. The minority councilors, with an agenda, ask the Municipality to put an end to the free distribution of tickets to some provincial offices of the state administrations, and to put them on sale for hotel customers. The document is signed by Andrea Artioli, Piero Correnti, Daniele Ventimiglia, Stefano Isaia and Marco Stella: “The provisional renewal of the Rai-Municipality agreement has resulted in a significant decrease in the entrance tickets to the event assigned to the availability of the Municipality, which annually assigns at least 210 free tickets (6 per evening for each of the 5 evenings) to some provincial offices of the state administrations (Carabinieri Command, Police Headquarters, Prefecture, Court, Public Prosecutor’s Office, Coast Guard, Finance Police). At the same time, the hoteliers in the area complain about the reduced number of tickets that can be purchased for customers ». The councilors recall that the event “was created precisely to encourage tourist presences in favor of the local economy”. They add: “The free allocation of entrance tickets to authorities, whose offices are not even located in the territory of the Municipality of Sanremo, is certainly not functional to the purposes for which the Sanremo Festival was established, provided that, in any case, fans of the event can always buy tickets through the organization ».
The councilors ask the mayor and the Administration to “no longer assign free tickets for admission to the Song Festival to the provincial offices of the administrations, as done up to now, making them available for purchase by the structures hotel for customers, reserving to the administrations the possibility of optioning paid subscriptions ».D.BO. —
