B-team Ajax takes it easy against amateurs Barendrecht

After 12 minutes, Ajax was already leading 2-0, but a very big result was not forthcoming. Kenneth Taylor gave Ajax the lead after 10 minutes and not much later Danilo made it 2-0 from a penalty. Shortly after the break, Danilo was accurate again, after which Icelandic debutant Kristian Hlynsson determined the final score in the last minute from a penalty kick.

Ajax started with a team that consisted almost entirely of players who normally cannot count on a basic place. Goalkeeper André Onana participated and Taylor and the Dane Victor Jensen got a place in midfield. Danilo was in the lead and the Brazilian was at the forefront with David Neres and Mohamed Daramy. Dusan Tadic and Sébastien Haller did not play.

In addition to Hlynsson, Youri Regeer and Amourricho van Axel Dongen also made their debut at Ajax. Naci Ünüvar, who had already made his debut in the first team, was also allowed to come in.
