Phil Foden has been named as one of the most valuable young players in Europe alongside Erling Haaland and Vinicius Jr.
According to the CIES Football Observatory, the Manchester City youngster has a transfer valuation of £128m – the joint-most expensive valuation along with Haaland and Vinicius.
The 21-year-old has enjoyed a brilliant season so far, scoring five goals and providing five assists in 15 games across competitions.
The analysis done by the CIES Football Observatory took 60 high-profile players under the age of 23 into consideration across the major European Leagues – the Premier League, LaLiga, the Bundesliga, Serie A, and Ligue 1.
The top five comprises of Manchester United forward Mason Greenwood, who has an estimated value of £119m, while Barcelona star, Pedri and Bayer Leverkusen’s 18-year-old prodigy Florian Wirtz are joint fifth.
Jadon Sancho makes the top 10 with a surprise valuation of £111m, given United only paid £73m to sign him from Dortmund this summer.
One of the biggest names missing from the list is Kylian Mbappe, who will be out of contract in the summer, and could join another club. Real Madrid have been long linked with a move for Mbappe and were reportedly willing to splash £197m to sign him in the summer only for Paris Saint-Germain to refuse the offer.
