Devastating news from Greece: Stevan Jelovac, Serbian basketball player from AEK Athens died of complications from a stroke
A devastating news has shocked, in the past few hours, the entire world of European and world sport. Stevan Jelovac, Serbian basketball player who was currently registered with the AEK in Athens, Greece, died following a stroke who had hit him last November 14 while he was training with his teammates. Doctors have made an intense effort in recent weeks to save him, but all attempts to keep him alive and heal him, in the end, have been in vain. The champion died on the evening of the day before yesterday, Sunday 5 December.

His is an extraordinary career. Born in Novi Sad, in Serbia, on July 8, 1989, he had started trampling the rectangular parquet from a very young age, immediately showing great talent. Talent that led him to wear the jerseys of some of the greatest European teams.
Stevan Jelovac had played before arriving in Greece at the “AEK of Atene, also in Turkey, Germany, Russia, Spain, Lithuania, Italy and Japan.
