BRUSSELS, DECEMBER 05 – Tension in the afternoon in Brussels during the demonstration, which brought together 8 thousand people, against the anti-Covid restrictions imposed by the Belgian government. According to reports from the newspaper Le Soir, scuffles broke out between the police and a group of demonstrators after some of them tried to break through the barrier to protect the offices of the institutions of the European Union. Protesters threw cans and firecrackers at the officers and the police responded with fire hydrants and tear gas. The Belgian newspaper writes that there have also been several arrests. The demonstration ended at 5 pm (ANSA).
