The Spanish rider from Ducati was elected best rookie of the year but had to miss four races due to injury.
Jorge Martin in an interview with Motorsport-Total took stock of his first season in MotoGP on Ducati: the Spaniard was elected best rookie, but due to injuries he had to skip Portimao, Jerez, Le Mans and Mugello. “It was my best season, but also my worst. There were many ups and downs, and after the injury there was a risk that it was really the worst year.”
“But after the stop I managed to win, get on the podium and get pole, I always fought for the top 5. In the end we did a good job and we are prepared to do even better next year. I learn new things every race . At the end of the day, I often think of something before dinner. It’s hard to give all this feedback right after training. But from weekend to weekend I found it easier to work with the various mappings and settings. “
