An electric powertrain usually comes in a compact, modular package and is still able to deliver a lot of power and torque. Have you ever wondered what would happen if you put such a powertrain on the road almost without a body? The engineers at Nissan certainly do.
Formula E for the street?
Nissan does not share the specifications of this racer, but if we take a look at the top version of the regular Ariya, we suspect that under this stripped body there is also 394 hp and 600 Nm of torque. With this, the SUV already sprints from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.1 seconds, so we are already curious what effect that gives in a light, low sports car. Unfortunately, Nissan is also silent about the weight in all languages, so for the time being it all remains in our imagination.

The manufacturer has no concrete plans with this study model, although they do say that this Single Seater Concept should offer a glimpse into the future of Nissan’s sporty models. In terms of design, for example, this racer already shows here and there lines that correspond to the ‘Timeless Japanese Futurism’ design language of the Ariya. The Japanese constructor also participates in Formula E, so the expertise they gain with this concept car can also come in handy there.
