TURIN, 29 NOV – The conditions of the carabiniere injured in an attempt to prevent a robbery in a pharmacy in Turin are serious. The brigadier, on duty at the Oltre Dora company, was hit by two stab wounds in the chest, one of which would have affected a lung, and by another blow to the leg. Admitted to the San Giovanni Bosco hospital, where the provincial commander, General Claudio Lunardo, arrived, he is intubated. What happened has yet to be clarified. What is certain is that he was in the pharmacy to buy medicines, free from service, and he found himself confronted with two misrepresented robbers, who fled after the attack. “It is a very serious fact. I will ask the provincial commander of the Arma for updates on the health of the heroic carabiniere, who intervened with a great spirit of service even if not operational. A big thank you to the Carabinieri and I hope that the sergeant can recover soon ”, says the mayor of Turin, Stefano Lo Russo. “I express my full solidarity with the Carabinieri and my profound closeness to the wounded sergeant”, adds the mayor.
