Danny Noppert was allowed to start the match and immediately managed to keep his own leg. After Van der Voort also managed to keep his own leg, the breaks flew over the counter like hot cakes. In the first ten legs, no fewer than six legs went against the darts. However, ‘The Dutch Destroyer’ managed to keep his own leg in leg six and leg ten and therefore had a large lead: 7-3.
Noppert then managed to fight back into the match. ‘The Freeze’ managed to win three legs in a row, but unfortunately was still one break behind: 7-6. However, Van der Voort was on time and managed to prevent Noppert from taking that break. The advantage therefore remained on the side of the man from Purmerend. Because Van der Voort remained sharp when throwing the doubles, he was able to win the game in the end.
