The news of the disappearance of Sir Frank Williams inevitably left a huge void in the hearts of Formula 1 fans, who have to say goodbye to the last great pioneer of this sport, capable of staying in the gap and winning for over four decades with an entirely ‘homemade’ team, against some of the greatest manufacturers in the history of motoring. After the announcement of his death, given by the Williams team through an official statement, the social channels were literally flooded with messages of condolence and tributes addressed to Sir Frank from all over the world of motorsport. Stables, drivers, team principals, journalists, all wanted to pay homage to an F1 legend, capable of winning 16 world titles among drivers and manufacturers.
