In the last weekend of November the weather scene will be dominated by a wave of winter-like bad weather, with persistent and abundant rains, especially on the lower Tyrrhenian Sea and the Islands, gale force winds and snow up to exceptionally low altitudes for the season.
“The phase of bad weather which in the last few hours has affected the Center-South and in particular the Tyrrhenian regions, will continue over the weekend due to another cloudy system arriving from the western Mediterranean and directed towards our southern regions, accompanied by intense winds. This perturbation will not be the only one to determine the weather conditions in Italy in the coming days – say the meteorologists of IconaMeteo.it -: in fact, the arrival of a cold front downhill from the North Atlantic, which will reach the Alps in one day, and then slide along the Peninsula on Sunday and Monday. This front is followed by a Arctic air mass, very cold for the season, which is already bringing mid-winter conditions to central-northern Europe, and which will go as far as Sicily by Tuesday. The resulting sharp drop in temperatures will be accentuated by very intense winds and by Monday will put an end to the mild climate even in the southern regions, with a first taste of winter weather“.
