NOVI LIGURE. While separate waste collection in Novi rises from 54% to almost 63%, the increase in the 10% tax on waste remains increasingly unjustifiable for the opposition of the council. And the Municipality has not yet responded to the requests of the “Democrats for Novi” about the reasons for this increase.
Therefore the dem have presented an interpellation. «We want to see clearly – insists the parent company Simone Tedeschi – because the accounts of Tari are almost 600 thousand euros higher than what the Waste Service Consortium (CSR) had estimated. The costs of the Pef (Economic and Financial Plan) have been increased and we would like to understand why ».
«It is a fundamental question – reads the interpellation – which concerns all Novesi families. Thanks to our request for access to the documents, we were able to verify that the costs indicated by the CSR and those reported by the Municipality in the resolution that sets the fees for the Tari, do not coincide. The costs of the Pef have been increased, in a way that we believe does not comply with the legislation. As citizens have been able to see from their bills, in Novi the costs to be borne by citizens have risen by 10%. How was this increase achieved? Perhaps the Novesi people were entitled to a reduction ».
At the same time, the Dems also asked the CSR for explanations. «Has separate collection increased in percentage? – comments Rocchino Muliere, of the Dems – then the run to the incinerator by the center right becomes even more unjustifiable. It used to make sense to talk about it, but today, with the drastic reduction in waste, a waste-to-energy plant would no longer make sense. And certainly not in the way they would like ».
“Probably already from the next City Council we will have the data that the offices are completing, about the increase in the waste tax – replies the citizen coordinator of the League, Giacomo Perocchio -. That of the Democratic Party is a political speculation, because they themselves are the subject of accusations of accounting irregularities and in doing so, they try to shuffle the cards. The same Muliere, right in the council declared that the mayor should have “pocketed” the reports of irregularities presented by the former councilor Maurizio Delfino. Instead, the mayor and general secretary will get to the bottom of everything. In fact, the reports to the Court of Auditors against the Democratic Party have already been sent “.
