The 2021/22 season Champions League competition will resume this week, Italian giants Juventus are faced with an away match to Stamford Bridge, Chelsea headquarters, Wednesday (24/11) early morning WIB.
Massimiliano Allegri’s squad have already locked in a place in the round of 16, but Matthijs de Ligt thinks his team cannot take this match lightly, on the other hand, the Dutch defender also asked Juve to be solid.
“I’m happy to play this kind of match. I’m also happy to meet Chelsea at Stamford Bridge,” said De Ligt as reported by Football Italia.
“Juventus must be solid because Chelsea are a quality team. They are also dangerous when faced with counter-attacking situations. We also have to stay calm and use the right technique. This can be a differentiating factor, but the match will definitely be tough,” added he.
Unfortunately, Juventus cannot field their best line-up in the match, there are five players who are confirmed to be absent, including Aaron Ramsey, Danilo, Federico Bernadeschi, Giorgio Chiellini and Mattia de Sciglio.
In contrast, there are only two home players who are likely to be absent, namely Kai Havertz and Mateo Kovacic, the two main strikers, Timo Werner and Romelu Lukaku have returned to training and have the potential to take part in the match later.
