Inflation rises for the fourth month: peak since 2012 in Italy
A’inflation so high had not been seen since September 2012. I am Andrea Pasini an entrepreneur from Trezzano Sul Naviglio and I believe that the data published by Istat speak clearly, in Italy inflation increases for the fourth consecutive month with “an increase of an extent that had not registered for almost 10 years “when it was 3.2%. The inflation acquired for 2021 is thus equal to + 1.8% for the general index + 0.8% for the core component.
Numbers mainly attributable to the flare-up on the prices ofenergy. It is the Institute itself that specifies that «i energy goods they continue to be protagonists, contributing more than two percentage points to inflation and explaining a large part of the acceleration compared to September ». In numbers i energy prices grew by 20.2% in October and 24.9% in September, of which those of the regulated component (from + 34.3% to + 42.3%) and at the prices of the non-regulated component (from +13 , 3% to + 15.0%).
Inflation, food prices up
In this context, the prices of the food goods, for the home care and of person (from + 0.9% to + 1.0%) and those of high-frequency purchasing products (from + 2.6% to + 3.1%). In detail, the growth in food prices is stable at + 1.0% (+ 0.3% compared to September) due to the prices of processed food (+ 1.0% as in the previous month; -0.1 % the economic situation), while the prices of unprocessed food slow down (from + 1.0% to + 0.8%; + 0.7% on a monthly basis). THE consumer prices for the entire community, gross of tobaccos, recorded an increase of 0.7% on a monthly basis and 3.0% on an annual basis (from + 2.5% in the previous month) and transport prices also grew by 2%.
Inflation, Codacons and Confesercenti alarms
We are facing worrying numbers. Codacons spoke of a stinged from 922 euros per family, while Confesercenti raises the alarm: «We will lose 9.5 billion in consumption in 2 years». An alarming combination that raises threatening clouds over Christmas shopping and that worries about the future. According to the calculations ofNational Consumers Union for a couple with two children, the traditional family of the past, inflation at + 3% means an increase in the cost of living equal to 1087 euros on an annual basis, 424 only for housing, water and electricity, 470 euros for transport . For a couple with 1 child, the highest annual expenditure is equal to 1007 euros, 425 for the home, 410 for transport, for an average family the overall increase is 841 euros, 399 for the home and 301 for transport .
Massimiliano Dona, president of the UNC has thus asked the government to intervene on what Assoutenti defines a “massacre”.
In the first nine months of 2021 i prices of industrial raw materials increased by 43%, on Petroleum by 55%, the natural gas 166%. We are talking about exorbitant numbers that cannot fail to have an impact on consumption. It is essential that the Draghi government move quickly. We need an intervention that will calm prices, sterilize the increase in fuel prices and temporarily reduce excise duties.
