A million-piece success. Peugeot 3008 celebrates an important milestone, with the millionth unit of the Lion’s SUV rolling off the production lines of the Sochaux plant, celebrating the success of one of the French carmaker’s most popular models. The one millionth unit produced was a Peugeot 3008 Hybrid. Made in Europe and China, it began to win critics even before it was launched on the markets, winning a total of seventy-six awards around the world, including the prestigious Car of the Year in 2017.
In Italy, over the years the Peugeot 3008 has won over 120,000 customers and is today the second best-selling SUV in its segment in our country. In Europe, it occupies second place in the SUV market in 2021 and, in addition to Italy, it also occupies top positions in other markets such as Portugal (where it is the best-selling SUV) and Spain (second place). Europe accounts for 65% of Peugeot 3008 sales. Its main extra-European markets are Turkey, Israel, Japan and Egypt. More than 80% of Peugeot 3008 sales are from versions with automatic transmission, and around 38% from higher trim levels, which perfectly reaffirms the growth of the Peugeot brand’s positioning within the market.
