MOSCOW, 13 OCT – Vladimir Putin declared that the Nobel Peace Prize awarded to the director of Novaya Gazeta, Dmitri Muratov, does not protect the journalist from being branded as a “foreign agent” if he violates the law. The AFP reports it. “If he doesn’t violate Russian law and if he doesn’t give reason to be declared a foreign agent, he won’t be,” Putin said. But the Russian president also warned the journalist not to try to hide behind the Nobel Prize “using it as a shield” to violate Russian law and “draw attention to himself”. (HANDLE).
