In 2021, while the release of “Zero” was postponed due to the general situation, the idea of the Pozcast was born, a podcast linked to the album
L’album “Zero”Represents a sort of restart, in fact, from scratch for the Venetian singer-songwriter. The 12 songs contained in the album see the close collaboration with Roberto Visentin, artistic producer, and with three guests: Reinaldo Anastacio, Brazilian songwriter and composer present in “Rio”; Riccardo Rossi, drummer of The Sun in “Ora è qui” and Luca Donazzan, bassist of Lost who performed a part in “Tisana”.
The single “Summer Space” third extracted from the disc and available on the radio from Friday 17 September as he tells Francesco Dal Poz takes its cue from the youth of the singer-songwriter: “The memories of adolescence remain among the most significant. Today I have grown up and I look at those moments as something more and more distant. It is in this passage that I wanted to tell them with due nostalgia, keeping in mind that although memories are important, “now is all I have”.
Francesco Dal Poz kindly granted us an interview.
“Zero” is your new album, what is it about?
There are 12 songs, but all in all they are a single song that is prolonged, with different words, notes and rhythms; I say this because I wrote every song on this album talking about my everyday life, my experiences and what I have felt in the last two years.
What do you want to convey with this work?
I find it really difficult to identify a single feeling that I would like to convey; in fact, with a method of writing and production that is always positive and decisive, I aim to create new songs by letting myself be guided by my instinct and what I feel, then what comes comes. One of the things that pleases me most is hearing from those who listen to me how a single song is experienced and interpreted in ways that are sometimes so different.
In the meantime, the single “Space Summer” has also been released on the radio, what kind of reception do you expect?
I tend to never expect anything, but rather to welcome what comes; surely, however, the hope that everything will go well is always there and that is why I hope that this single, like the last ones published in the last year and a half, can reach as many people as possible.
The song also has a video, how is it characterized?
In the video I am kidnapped by a lady and placed in a trunk of a Panda. When this idea was born, having a laugh, I didn’t think I would really choose her for the video clip. Then, however, I thought about how much the path of creation of the album “Zero” taught me not to take myself too seriously and to play with myself and with my music and a video of this type was perfect to represent this new way to see and experience my musical journey.
