It seemed like the day was never going to come, but after the title was announced at The Games Awards 2017, finally in the recent Nintendo Direct we could have the Bayonetta 3 First Look, being a title that, in the first place, has been characterized by present a new hairstyle of the Umbra witch.
Having said all of the above, it should be noted that, since the second installment, originally announced and released on Wii U, there are many who wonder about the possibilities of seeing the titles on other platforms.
In fact, people are known to have bought Wii U exclusively for Bayonetta 2. And as usual, Kamiya has spoken about it making use of their social networks.
Whether Bayonetta reaches other platforms is Nintendo’s decision
As Hideki Kamiya, one of the main heads of Platinum Games, has commented on Twitter, Bayonetta 3 is being developed with funding from Nintendo, this company being the one decide what to do with the game and if it can reach other consoles. According to these words, any request for a port to be taken to other platforms must be addressed to Nintendo, not to Platinum Games.
It is because of that Kamiya insists that Bayonetta 3 to this day is like a Mario and Zelda title, so this game has the same chances of coming out on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X / S and PC as seeing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild or Super Mario Odyssey on these platforms. In other words: none.
It is worth mentioning that The reasons behind this is because, in the beginning, no study opted for Bayonetta 2, being a title that would not have been developed had it not been for Nintendo.
In that sense, the existence of Bayonetta 3 could go the same way, since, despite the popularity of the witch in the middle, their games have never seen good sales.
For the rest, it will be necessary to see if in time we see Bayonetta 3 in port form in the successor of Nintendo SwitchThis being something that has happened with the first 2 installments, which were launched on the hybrid console.
Likewise, it must be said that, after revealing several details of the title, Bayonetta 3 is coming exclusively to Nintendo Switch sometime in 2022.
