The Turk wins both race-1 and race-2.
After the rescheduling of the weekend’s events, decided following the death of the very young Dean Berta Viñales on Saturday, Superbike is back on track on Sunday with race-1 and race-2 of the Jerez de la Frontera round, without Superpole Race : two races both won by Toprak Razgatlioglu, riding a Yamaha.
The Turk took the morning race ahead of world champion Jonathan Rea (Kawasaki) after a muscular fight that lasted practically from start to finish. To complete the podium, on Ducati, Scott Redding.
In race-2 Razgatlioglu fought with Redding, winning in the sprint. Third place for Alvaro Bautista, on Honda, while Rea only finished fifth and was unable to keep up with the Italian Andrea Locatelli, who had an excellent fourth with Yamaha.
In the standings, Razgatlioglu climbs to 449 points, and six heats from the end of the SBK World Championship has a 20-point advantage over Rea (429). Further behind is Scott Redding, who rises to 375 points, while Locatelli is fourth together with Michael Rinaldi (retired in race-1, seventh in race-2), at an altitude of 227.
