BVB had to do without Marco Reus and Erling Haaland in the Bundesliga hit against Gladbach. The two offensive stars injured themselves in the final training, but could be ready for action again in the Champions League on Tuesday.
The short-term failure of Haaland and Reus completely paralyzed the BVB offensive in Gladbach. Without the also injured Julian Brandt and Giovanni Reyna in the hindquarters, Borussia found no solutions in the last third of the attack.
BVB will continue in the Champions League on Tuesday. After the opening win at Besiktas Istanbul, Borussia could take a big step towards the round of 16 with a win against Sporting Lisbon. Without Reus and Haaland, Dortmund should have problems with Sporting.
The tendency for the offensive duo is good, however. Sport1 reported on Sunday afternoon that both Haaland and Reus were able to complete an easy running unit on Sunday and BVB assumes that the two pillars will be ready for use again on Tuesday.
