Impossible not to see them. A quick glance is all it takes to notice that this dog has some really … important ears. Thanks to his oversized pavilions, Lou got noticed by his adopter and now he has also made history, conquering the world record for the longest ears in the world.
Lou is now three years old and 34 centimeters of ears. A “wingspan” of well over 80 centimeters, which make it so unique that it deserves a place in the 2022 edition of the Guinness World Records book.
The hound’s ears hang very low, and each flap measures approximately 13.38 inches in length. Paige Olsen adopted him as a child and confessed that it was love at first sight for his “extravagantly long” ears, which grew with him.
The woman, however, had never measured them and never even thought of sharing a home with the dog with the longest ears in the world until, thanks to the “pandemic boredom”, she had more time to admire the unique trait of her best. friend and decided to apply for the new record.
Long ears are no problem for Lou and require no special attention, other than more cleaning time. In winter the dog wears a neck warmer in which the long pavilions can stay warm even when it goes on the snow. He is otherwise a normal dog and Paige hopes this title “will inspire many people to embrace the uniqueness of each pet and love them forever.”
