“I wrote this song in early 2020, with no intention of talking about the situation we were all going through. Unknowingly it took a few weeks to realize that something was changing in our thoughts “
From 17 September it is available in radio rotation and on streaming platforms “Where nothing is missing”, The new single from Virginia Veronesi. “Where nothing is missing” is a rhythmic and pressing piece that adapts the steps of the listener to the journey of the song. The stanzas – more liquid – allow you to immerse yourself in the folds of the text and in that place where nothing more than love is enough, to feel good. The meaning of the text is layered and can be read in different ways, but what emerges in an unmistakable way is the common condition of human beings made up of fragility and spasmodic research that sometimes makes you lose track of what really has value: recognizing oneself for don’t feel alone.
Virginia Veronesi kindly granted us an interview.
“Where nothing is missing” is your new single, what is it about?
I speak of fragility and fears, of courage to face them and to do it better if you are not alone. I’m talking about a place to get to where you need nothing but love (in all its forms) to feel good.
What do you want to convey with this song?
It is an apparently abstract piece, but quite existential.
What kind of welcome do you expect?
I will be happy if people let themselves be crossed by my words and music, so rhythmic and pulsating but at the same time evocative.
How did you approach the world of music?
I have always studied music and singing. Over time I realized that artistic expression in all its forms was a very natural way for me to communicate. I started writing my own songs relatively late, but I feel it’s my best form of expression. Sometimes I get confused when I talk. Writing helps me order my thoughts.
