Askildsen respects Ranieri but now ….
Kristoffer Askildsen at Sampdoria plays much more with Roberto D’Aversa than with Claudio Ranieri: he has found more space, it is the first change in the middle of the field. With the former Sampdoria coach for the Norwegian just 6 league appearances a year ago for 91 minutes overall. Now he has already reached 43 minutes in three games, plus another 26 in the Italian Cup.
At the home newspaper, Nettavisen, Askildsen’s words were clear, as ClubDoria46.it collected them: “The change of coach was positive for me, even if I liked Ranieri very much. D’Aversa’s arrival did me good. He is a little more active and young, hungry too, so he wants to do well… “. Askildsen also spoke of Fabio Quagliarella: “When you think of Sampdoria, many think of him immediately. He is a good guy and a good figure to have in the team, what I learned from him is the mentality of training. Quagliarella is 38 years old. and he never stops training, always runs and never complains. It’s a way to be humble. He does everything that needs to be done, and there is respect for that… “.
