Joaquin Correa is one of the players that many big teams are fighting for in the summer transfer market this year. However, Correa ultimately chose Inter Milan as his new port. He was signed by Inter on loan.
Inter have the option to make the Argentine player’s contract permanent on condition that they deposit 30 million euros to Lazio at the end of his loan period. Inter has been a dream club for Correa for a long time, therefore he didn’t care when Inter came to sign him.
Actually the 27-year-old player has a chance to play in England. Two Premier League clubs, Everton and Arsenal reportedly approached him also in the summer transfer market this year. However, both were flatly rejected.
“As a child at that time, I just wanted to defend this club (Inter) in any way. This club is very important for me,” said Correa as quoted by Football Italia.
“When I was still playing in Argentina, I heard about Inter’s interest. But I didn’t leave my club at that time. This is a beautiful moment for me, because this has been my dream since I was a child.”
