After the Z900RS was recently tickled to an SE version, the regular Z900 now also gets a Special Edition brother.
The Z900 SE builds on the solid foundation of the standard version. What remained is the smooth and powerful 948cc four-in-line, including TC, driving modes, of course ABS, TFT color display and smartphone connectivity. For the Special Edition, this basic package is already not bad, but is supplemented with high-quality brake and suspension components and a special color scheme.
At the front, a set of Brembo’s M4.32 Monoblocs bite into two 300 mm discs, in combination with the steel-braided brake lines and the radial (Nissin) master cylinder, this should provide more and more precise braking power. So the same upgrade as on the Z900RS SE.
That also applies to the suspension; the SE gets an Öhlins S46 rear shock with separate spring preload adjuster. The shock absorber can be adjusted quickly and easily with the easy-to-reach adjustment knob. As on the Z900RS SE, don’t let the gold fork fool you, the 41mm UPSD isn’t Öhlins – but it is adjustable in compression and rebound damping and spring preload. The Special Edition is finished with a special color scheme with bellypan in color.
The Z900 SE can be found at the dealer from December, prices will be announced later.
