The head of La Liga, Javier Tebas, has often made comments about PSG. The Ligue 1 giants are often under the spotlight regarding the expenses they make to bring in star players. Les Parisiens are often criticized, as is UEFA (European Football Association).
PSG are often considered to have violated FFP regulations, especially considering Ligue 1 is currently facing a financial crisis. But the club based at the Parc des Princes insists that their spending does not violate any regulations.
Javier Tebas again highlights PSG’s spending. The head of the La Liga competition said PSG had cheated on their financial spending. Tebas insists that PSG should not be able to have a squad containing Lionel Messi, Neymar and Kylian Mbappe.
“(Real) Madrid will not be able to become PSG because PSG cheated regarding financial control. At the moment they have a salary expenditure of close to 600 million euros, even though they are in a competition where broadcasting revenue has decreased by 40%.”
“It’s impossible that PSG have sponsorship income that gives them more than 30% more revenue than Manchester United, Real Madrid and Barcelona,” said Javier Tebas, quoted by Mundo Deportivo.
Tebas has several times highlighted PSG’s status as a club that has the support of the state (Qatar).
