In view of the world championship of F1 Sports 2021, which will start on 13 October at the Sakhir track, in Bahrain, la Ferrari announced the names of the three official drivers who will participate in the virtual championship among the ranks of his own FDA Sports Team. In addition to the confirmations of the 19 year old from Viterbo David tonizza (champion in 2019) and the 22-year-old Briton Brendon Leigh (in turn world champion in 2017 and 2018), the Prancing Horse has selected another Italian as Domenico Lovece for the role of third driver.
The 20-year-old, new signing of the Prancing Horse, will join the Maranello team after winning the Power League in 2018 and the Major League the following season, as well as other successes achieved in PC-only competitions such as AOR F1. A very respectable curriculum for the Ferrari team, which will face the 2021 world championship with the clear goal of winning the title after the victory won by the Mercedes driver Jarno Opmeer in 2020.
Tonizza and Leigh, more suitable to reach such a milestone, will have the opportunity to train with the new teammate during the pre-season tests set in Australia and Spain, and then concentrate all together on the aforementioned appointment in Bahrain. In this way, the FDA Esports Team will therefore be able to obtain its revenge on last season, where it came third in the constructors’ championship behind the Mercedes champion and Red Bull.
