The double pack, which includes the Neogeo Pocket Color versions, is within a selection of games on the same platform.
Who doesn’t fondly remember the stray bullets and the cute hostage rescue in Metal Slug? If you still long for those retro adventures, Nintendo proposes a trip back in time to return to the iconic action from the Neogeo franchise. For this reason, Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission Double Pack comes to Nintendo Switch with the intention of throwing a few games to a couple of titles that made a mark in the memory of the community.
The pack maintains the highlights of the original games, such as the ability to take alternate pathsNintendo brings us a double pack that includes the adventures of Metal Slug 1st Mission and Metal Slug 2nd Mission, both classic Neogeo titles. Retaining most of the essence of the game, Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission Double Pack maintains practically all the details and mechanics of the original titles, some as important as the possibility of taking alternative paths that allowed the exploration of the player and the branching of the mission plot.
However, the big N takes advantage of current technology to mark a couple of changes that will make the gaming experience easier for first-time players. On the one hand, we will be allowed save game and resume at the point where we left off, which opens the possibility that a campaign can be completed in several days, if the player so wishes. Also, the characters will now have a life bar which will decrease as they take damage, whereas in the original games the player died with a single attack received.
Metal Slug 1st & 2nd Mission Double Pack is now available on the Nintendo Switch eShop for 14,99€. This duality of games is integrated into the Neogeo Pocket Color Selection, a collection of titles that brings together the top ten hits of the aforementioned platform, such as Samurai Shodown! 2, Fatal Fury First Contact or The Last Blade: Beyond the Destiny.
