Liverpool had to pay for a 3-0 victory over Leeds United at a cost. The match at Elland Road in the Premier League continued with the severe injury suffered by Harvey Elliott. The player who plays as a winger got a hard tackle from Pascal Struijk.
Jurgen Klopp as the manager of the Reds confirmed Elliott suffered from an ankle dislocation. The 18-year-old player had to undergo surgery to resolve the problem he was suffering from. Elliott underwent the operation in London on Tuesday (14/9).
According to The Athletic, Liverpool have hope that Harvey Elliott can still feature at the end of the season. The player, who was loaned to Blackburn Rovers in the 2020/21 season, successfully underwent surgery.
The Reds management is optimistic that the injury suffered by their young star will not keep him out until the end of the season. Liverpool’s medical staff have not set a target regarding the recovery time Elliott will take before he can return to training.
Elliott is expected to be out for four to six months. This injury is a rush moment for the player. Elliott got quite a bit of playing time at the start of the season, having returned from loan at Blackburn Rovers.
