Gatherings are prohibited
Professor and Head of the Department of Cardiovascular Diseases confirmed: “Patients must stay away from large gatherings and crowds, and leave a safe distance of no less than two meters when they talk to anyone, in addition to alcohol, which must be with them all the time and disinfect anything in front of them that they can deal with.” with him”.
In her interview with Sky News Arabia, Taha indicated: “Some cannot, by virtue of customs, force others to wear masks, and this is a big mistake. And if he refuses, he must stay away from him because the patient’s life is the most important.”
The head of the Cardiovascular Department gave a number of advice to the injured, saying: “Do not touch your face with your hands at all, maintain your activity inside the house and do simple exercises in follow-up and coordination with the doctor, drink water continuously, eat healthy fat-free, and pay attention to medication appointments.”
Avoid smoking and smokers
At the same time, Tariq Sharaf, professor of cardiology at the National Heart Institute, says: “The prominent advice that must be adhered to is to stay away from smoking and smokers, and strictly adhere to precautionary measures and not underestimate any of them, starting with washing hands, disinfecting surfaces, wearing masks, and others.”
In his interview with Sky News Arabia, Sharaf explained: “Food is very important for a heart patient, so he should take care of changing the diet and relying on useful and healthy foods, in addition to paying attention to the medications that were specified by the specialist doctor and on their specified dates, and practicing average walking on a daily basis without reaching to exhaustion from brisk walking.”
The professor of cardiology at the National Heart Institute noted: “The heart patient should always pay attention to measuring pressure on a daily basis, and in case of any changes, the doctor is contacted immediately without any waiting.”
Eat fresh fruits
And Sharaf added: “The elderly have a very weak immune response. It is necessary to pay attention to raising immunity continuously by eating fresh fruits and medications concerned with immunity, but in coordination with the specialized doctor.”
The professor of cardiology stressed: “Vaccination is very important. It is necessary to take the vaccine and take care of it for all heart patients or those with diseases that cause immune crises, as the vaccine will help to form immune antibodies against the virus in the patient’s body.”
