Ubisoft and Activision Blizzard have starred in the most recent harassment scandals in the industry. However, it seems that this serious problem and other ills generally afflict the environment that we like so much.
We tell you this as a new report ensures that Paradox Interactive employees have also suffered the consequences of a toxic work environment. According to information from Games Industry, various employees reported the problems in a survey conducted by 2 unions.
The results were surprising, as almost half of the participants assured that they have suffered some type of abuse or discrimination while doing their job at Paradox Interactive.

Paradox Interactive joins the list of harassment scandals
Unionen and Sveriges Ingenjörer trade union groups surveyed 133 Paradox Interactive employees to learn more about study work culture. Unfortunately, 44% of the participants assured that there is harassment, discrimination and mistreatment.
The results revealed that both women and men have been the target of a bad work culture. The survey notes that there is a so-called “culture of silence” within Paradox Interactive. So very few employees are happy with the way they are treated.
The report ensures that there is an “offensive treatment” in the study, which is “systematic and too common.” All of this draws a lot of attention, especially since Ebba Ljungerud, CEO of Paradox, left the company at the beginning of the month.
Fredrik Wester, the new director of the developer, recently stated that there is no connection between Ljungerud’s departure and reports of harassment and abuse within Paradox.
Paradox Interactive prepares an investigation
Unsurprisingly, Paradox Interactive managers are already aware of the survey results. For this reason, the company will carry out an internal investigation among the personnel to find out what really happens.
The study will hire an external company that does a neutral survey to have a “thorough review” of its processes and the treatment of employees. For now there are no more details, so we will have to wait to see what happens in this new case that could join the list of scandals in the industry.
