There is still no sign of when Liga 1 will take place. As is known, the implementation of the highest Indonesian football competition is still being delayed due to the sharp increase in pandemic cases in July.
As planned, Liga 1 kick off starts on 9 July. Unfortunately, due to the craze for COVID-19 cases, the Covid-19 Task Force requested that the competition be postponed until the positive numbers decreased.
PT LIB itself is optimistic that the competition can still take place in the midst of a pandemic. Moreover, they have carried out a “simulation” in the 2021 Menpora Cup.
“The COVID-19 Task Force at each venue is tasked with directly supervising the implementation of health protocols in the field. They will also coordinate with the COVID-19 Task Force at the center,” said Sudjarno, Director of Operations at LIB, quoted from Goal.
“In general terms, the implementation of the prokes is like the 2021 Menpora Cup. Players, match officials, officials, to the local organizing committee (LOC) must run and strictly adhere to the prokes,” he continued.
“Public support and commitment will be very decisive. If everyone is obedient and adheres to the strict and disciplined implementation of the prokes, the competition can roll on as we all hope,” he added.
