“The mafia is a bit like our Vietnam. A national tragedy but also a pool of potential stories. We really liked the new way of dealing with this issue: leaving the awareness inherent in our country intact but demolishing it with the weapons of black comedy. The Bad Guy: la trama
The tv series tells the story of Nino Scotellaro, Sicilian prosecutor who dedicated his life to the fight against the mafia, but who at one point is accused of being a mafia.
Nino fails to prove his innocence and later his own condemnation decides to develop a Machiavellian plan to take revenge, turning into that “bad guy” in which he was unjustly transformed.
To play the protagonist Nino Scotellaro is Luigi lo Cascio, known for his roles in The Traitor, The Best of Youth and The Hundred Steps.
Alongside the Palermo actor we find another Italian name, that of Claudia Pandolfi, who will play the female lead named Luvi. The actress is known for starring in the District Police and All Freud’s Fault.
