The third time is the charm, there are no more opportunities. Hazard has run out of margin for error after two seasons absent at Real Madrid and in this third year he has to go back to being the Hazard we all saw at Chelsea, the one who made us fall in love with Belgium in the 2018 World Cup and for which Florentino Pérez paid out 100 million euros. This will be Hazard’s great year as a Real Madrid player because he owes it to those who trusted and bet on him, to the fans that are still waiting for him and to himself.
Hazard has to take that step forward because he knows that if he does not do it, Madrid will sell him as if he were a broken toy and in his history it will appear that he was a Real Madrid player but his time at the Bernabéu was simply disastrous. And he is the first who wants to clear his record.
And in another season in which Madrid is even scarcer of leaders after the departure of Ramos, the Belgian has to get those stripes that he does have with his national team and pull the team. During the past course there was much talk that Madrid does not have that decisive player capable of solving only one game, but it does have it, the only thing that has not appeared. A Hazard in good shape can solve a large part of the problems that this team has and although Mbappé is the player for whom all Real Madrid sighs, the Belgian has everything to show.
Ancelotti and Pintus have already designed the preseason plan for him to arrive at training in better shape than the previous two years and that Hazard will be in the news for his game, for his resurrection and not for his improper physical condition of a professional. This has to be Hazard’s great year at Madrid because his credit has already run out and he needs to get it back in order not to go down in history as one of the worst signings in the history of Real Madrid. The team needs him more than ever and he needs to go back to being who he was.
