Inter Milan are still selectively looking for players in the transfer market this summer. Despite getting big money from the sale of Achraf Hakimi, Il Nerazzurri have only recruited one new player (Hakan Calhanoglu) and are trying to be efficient in order to maintain their financial condition.
Hakimi was sold to PSG (Paris Saint-Germain) for 71 million euros and to date, according to Football-Italy, Inter have not met the demands of Simone Inzaghi who is looking for two full-backs and one striker.
Inter have been linked with Nahitan Nandez and Hector Bellerin of late, but the Serie A champions can only sign them on loan with an option or obligation to buy at the end of the contract.
Talks are also ongoing with PSV Eindhoven right-back Denzel Dumfries. However, Inzaghi also wants to get additional players in the left back position.
The return of Federico Dimarco is considered insufficient for Inzaghi, while Ivan Perisic has the opportunity to leave because his contract expires in 2022. Manchester United left-back Alex Telles is on the team’s transfer radar.
As for the front line position as a coating for Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez, Inzaghi doesn’t want to just rely on Alexis Sanchez. No doubt Inter are linked with Andrea Petagna, Luka Jovic and Gianluca Scamacca. So far none of these transfers have materialized.
