The City of São Paulo announced this Thursday (22) that vaccination against Covid-19 in people aged 29 will take place on Tuesday (27) and Wednesday (28) next week in the city of São Paulo. People aged 28 will be on Thursday (29th) and Friday (30th).
On Wednesday (21st), Mayor Ricardo Nunes (MDB) said at a press conference that the dates were still undefined due to the uncertainty of sending doses of the immunizing agent by the state government.
On Tuesday (20), the João Doria administration (PSDB) sent 680.6 thousand doses of vaccine, used for the public in their 30s.
“Monday [da próxima semana, dia 26] was skipped [para a vacinação] because we have the important task of giving the second dose to pregnant women. We will go to around 652 to vaccinate them at home, with the second dose of Pfizer”, said Nunes.
The mayor also said that 75.5% of “elective people” have already been vaccinated in the capital, with the first dose of one of the immunizing agents.
This week, people aged 30 to 34 are being vaccinated in the city of São Paulo against the coronavirus. With this, the city should reach 84% of the eligible target audience, according to the Municipal Health Department. The expectation of the folder is that between last Monday (19) and next Saturday (24), when there is a recap for this audience, is that up to 740 thousand vaccines can be applied for the first dose.
According to the Vacinometer, a state government service that updates vaccination in São Paulo municipalities in real time, until 2:20 pm on Wednesday, the capital of São Paulo had already applied about 9.3 million vaccines, 6.7 million of which were the first dose, 2, 15 million of the booster and 306 thousand of a single dose.
