Rumors of a Dybala departure from Juventus Turin can confidently be filed. Rather, a long-term extension of the attacker is becoming apparent.
At Juventus Turin, Paulo Dybala – as of now – is entering the last year of his contract. There have been many rumors about the 27-year-old attacker in recent weeks. Mainly because Dybala has had an extremely mixed pre-season (five goals and three assists in 26 competitive games).
Recently, there was even quite wild speculation that had to do with FC Barcelona. The Catalans urgently need to raise money to sign a new deal to superstar Lionel Messi. Antoine Grizemann should therefore leave Barça. A swap deal with Atletico’s Saul Niguez was pending – and then again before failure. Reason enough for some media to bring another swap into play: Griezmann against Dybala.
But nothing will come of it! On the one hand, because the negotiations with Atletico and Saul Niguez have not yet failed. On the other hand – and mainly – because Juventus seem to have completely different plans. Because instead of selling you want to extend with Dybala. Like the well-informed one Fabrizio Romano reports, Dybala’s agent Jorge Antun has already planned his trip to Italy. In the next few weeks he wants to start talks with those responsible for Juve. It’s about a new, long-term contract for the 29-time Argentine international.
The Bianconeri continue to plan firmly with Dybala, who has been wearing the old lady’s jersey since 2015. One reason for this could also be the return of Max Alegri to the coaching bench. Dybala played his most successful Serie A season to date under the 49-year-old in 2017/18. With a whopping 22 hits and five assists, he fired the record champions back then to Scudetto.
