The UN Security Council held on Thursday an urgent session to address the issue of assassination of the president of Haiti, Jovenel Moïse.
Through a statement, Mexico and the United States condemned the crime against the Haitian president and called for those involved in the incident to be brought to justice
At that meeting, Mexico expressed its concern about the consequences of murder of Jovenel Moïse for the political and social stability of the country and called for a investigation of the facts considering the event as an inadmissible act for democracy.

Likewise, he reiterated his support for the Haitian people and called for calm and no acts that incite violence.
