Driver Robin Frijns has seen his lead in the standings shrink in Formula E. The Dutchman finished in Puebla in Mexico, where the eighth of the fifteenth race of the season was held, only sixteenth. Frijns did not earn a single point with that.
The victory went to the Brazilian Lucas Di Grassi, ahead of the German René Rast and the Swiss Edoardo Mortara. German Pascal Wehrlein crossed the finish line first but, like his teammate André Lotterer, was disqualified due to an administrative error by his team. The Dutchman Nyck de Vries finished ninth.
Frijns now has a lead of 2 points on the number 2, the Portuguese Antonio Félix da Costa. De Vries is third on 3 points from Frijns. The ninth race is Sunday evening (Dutch time).
