For Mirko Zanardini it is time to restart the engine of his Wolf GB08 Thunder. This time it will not be on the track, but at the 50th Vallecamonica Trophy, a special appointment for Mirko who this year will cover the Malegno-Ossimo-Borno section with a special version of the Wolf GB08 Thunder.
This version is purposely built for climbs, compared to the “track” version or those present in the hill climbs for about two years, this version has modifications to the engine, electronics, front suspension, aerodynamics, shock absorbers and differential. To all this is added the weight difference, this version is only 364 kg and is equipped with a brand new engine developed by Aprilia Racing and Wolf Racing Cars.
“I am thrilled to bring the new Wolf to Vallecamonica which for me is the home race. I am also thrilled for the new version of the Thunder, above all I will be able to compare the performance with the other version. The hill climbs are my other passion after the I put the same effort into it. I am assisted by an excellent team and I want to do well “, said Mirko Zanardini.
“We are very curious to see how the Thunder will behave in this version, for us it is a test, the first real uphill test, after a few laps in Binetto. There we managed to get some excellent indications, if everything works out, as we believe, we will have the opportunity to provide the many drivers who tackle the climbs with our Wolf machine a dedicated kit that will allow them to take a big step forward in performance “, said Giovanni Bellarosa, team principal of Wolf Racing Cars.
