Cancun.- The delegate of the Ministry of the Interior (Segob) in Quintana Roo, Susana Hurtado Vallejo, reported that there are five investigation folders opened by likely vote buying, “Hauling” of people to pay and warehouses with pantries in Cancun, Puerto Morelos, Playa del Carmen and Tulum, which are added to the 72 folders started throughout the electoral process.
The official explained that she was informed by the Office of the Attorney General of the Republic (FGR) About the arrest, last night, in Playa del Carmen, municipality of Solidaridad, of a person who brought bundles of bills totaling 100,000 pesos, for the purchase of voter credentials, in favor of a party, which is part of one of the two coalitions registered with the electoral authorities.
According to the reports, this person, upon being detained, tried to bribe the police officers who detained him and betrayed other persons allegedly involved in said operation, in which the credentials were also collected to inhibit the vote.

Unofficially, it was reported that the person arrested is a public official who offered between 500 and 1,500 pesos for copies of voter credentials.
“We were notified by the Prosecutor’s Office of people who, in Playa del Carmen, were buying the vote. A person with an approximate amount of 100,000 pesos was found, asking for voter credentials to buy them so that they would not vote. It is one of the five incidents.
“The person has already been detained and events continue to occur, registered in C5, which the Prosecutor’s Office itself is reporting to us. There are 72 folders since the electoral process began, but as of today, at 12 noon, we had five cases with folders raised ”, he indicated.
Hurtado Vallejo stated that at 3 pm there will be a meeting with members of the Electoral Table, in which Public Security, the Secretariat of National Defense (Sedena) participate; the National Guard, the Executive Secretary of Public Security at the national level, the Attorney General’s Office and Segob itself.
