ACM, among other issues, talks about the nod to former São Paulo governor Geraldo Alckmin (PSDB) and dismisses the DEM’s support for Doria’s candidacy: “If you ask me: are you going to stop talking to the PSDB? However, today, support for an eventual candidacy by Doria to the Presidency of the Republic is ruled out “.
In the interview, ACM Neto also declares that he will not be a candidate for vice president of President Jair Bolsonaro (without a party) or of any other politician in the 2022 elections: “I have already told everyone that I will not be anyone’s deputy, not even Bolsonaro. My focus is to build, at the right time, a candidacy for the government of the state of Bahia “.
Graduated in Law at the Federal University of Bahia, ACM Neto is the nephew of Luís Eduardo Magalhães son and grandson of Antônio Carlos Magalhães (ACM).
At the age of 22, in 2002, he was elected federal deputy, being the most voted candidate in Bahia. In 2012, he was elected mayor of Salvador. In 2016, he was re-elected. In 2018, he assumed the national presidency of the DEM, where he is today.
