Genoa – Change at the top in the Prefecture in Genoa. The prefect Carmen Perrotta he leaves the Ligurian capital and assumes the functions of Head of the department for general administration, for the personnel policies of the civil administration and for instrumental and financial resources. It takes its place Renato Franceschelli, arriving from Padua.
The appointments were approved by the Council of Ministers, on the proposal of the Minister of the Interior Luciana Lamorgese.
Franceschelli was born in Naples on December 3, 1957 and graduated in Law from the Federico II University of Naples, specializing in the Italian Society for International Organizations.

At the Ministry of the Interior, since July 2000, he has dealt with issues relating to immigration and asylum.
Vice-prefect since 2001, he is assigned to the newly formed Department for Civil Liberties and Immigration as director of the External and International Relations Office.

After becoming manager of theCabinet Office of the Head of the Civil Liberties and Immigration Department, in December of that year he was appointed Prefect of Syracuse, also taking care, as extraordinary commissioner of the Presidency of the Council, in the management of the reconstruction works of the Cathedral of Noto.
In December 2012 he held the position of Central Director of Technical Logistics Services and Asset Management of the Department of Public Security. And from 13 February 2017 he assumes the position of Prefect of Padua, and then passes, from now on, to the Prefecture of Genoa.
