Diogo Jota’s first season at Liverpool, does not seem to be going well. Apart from the sharpness shown by scoring nine goals in 18 Premier League competitions 2020/21, in fact he could not escape from a prolonged injury.
This is because Jota, who has recovered from his knee injury, has to go back into the treatment room. This time, Jurgen Klopp confirmed that the Portuguese player had a problem with his leg bone.
Even though, Klopp gave news that Jota’s injury was not too severe which made his hopes of entering the Portugal squad at Euro 2020 still wide open, the German passport coach still insisted that the former Wolverhampton Wanderers player would not get more minutes to play in the remaining matches of the Reds.
“Diogo Jota, suffered something in his leg bone,” Klopp was quoted as saying by Mirror Football.
“His injury was not serious, but he ended the 2020/21 season early,” he concluded.
Reportedly, the injury that Jota got after the player positioned as a winger underwent a match against Manchester United in the Premier League competition. At that time, he did not undergo a match when he entered the 74th minute.
