The Truth, CB and the Croatian with a past also in Treviso among the newly elected among the immortals of basketball
Just celebrated the historic 2020 class, with Kobe Bryant, Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett making it legendary, the Hall of Fame has announced the members of the 2021 class. And inside there are some legendary names.
Among the players, the most impressive names are those of Paul Pierce, symbol of the Boston Celtics, and Chris Bosh, great with LeBron James’ Heat. With them Ben Wallace, formidable defender of the 2004 champions Pistons, and Chris Webber. The international committee then awarded Toni Kukoc, a Croatian for two seasons in Treviso before taking off for the NBA, where he played for 13 years and contributed to Michael Jordan’s second Bulls threepeat. In the class of 2021 also Bill Russell: the legend of the Celtics, already in the Hall of Fame as a player since 1975, will be honored as the first black head coach in Nba history.
For the first time in history, the Hall of Fame has planned two ceremonies in the same year. It is scheduled for Saturday 11 September in Springfield, where the Hall of Fame has its historic headquarters, which recently underwent a long restoration that has made the experience for spectators more modern among the immortals of basketball.
