McLaren celebrates the agreement with the historic sponsor Gulf, who returned to F1 cars last year, with the blue and orange colors of the oil company: the new livery will be used during the Monte Carlo weekend
The McLaren of Lando Norris and Daniel Ricciardo will have a special livery for the next Monaco Formula 1 GP, scheduled for the weekend of 23 May. For all track activities in Monte Carlo, Zak Brown’s team will use the blue and orange colors of the Gulf, the oil company that returned to motorsport in 2020 by signing a sponsorship with McLaren F1.
A historical relationship between the team and its sponsor, celebrated in the most historic GP of the F1 World Championship. The cars, Norris and Ricciardo’s suits, and all McLaren staff uniforms will have these colors during the race weekend. In addition, the pilots will have a special and retro look, created especially for the event. It is the second time that McLaren has used a livery with the colors of the Gulf: it had already happened at Le Mans 1997, when the McLaren F1 GTRs had obtained second and third place overall (and class victory in the GT1 category) at the 24 Hours with a Particular “dress”.
