The quality of Paris-Saint Germain’s young star, Kylian Mbappe, seems to have no doubt because he continues to show his sharpness throughout the 2020/21 season.
So far. The goalscoring record for the French passport player is a fantasy after collecting 39 goals in 44 matches he has played in all competitions. Even so, Mbappe’s future with PSG is still a big question mark.
As is known, his contract with Les Parisiens will expire at the end of the upcoming 2021/22 season and there has been no sign of Mauricio Pochettino’s club to provide a new contract.
If PSG don’t do that, Mbappe could only last for one more season and have great potential to leave the Parc des Princes, on a free transfer at the end of June 2022.
Seeing this potential, Express Football is now reporting that Liverpool are starting to show serious interest in competing with Spanish capital club Real Madrid in an attempt to bring Mbappe during the summer transfer window of 2021.
The Reds’ seriousness to overtake Los Blancos in this hunt, was even clearer after Jurgen Klopp was claimed to be ready to spend around 160 million euros in order to open negotiations with Les Parisiens.
However, it seems that Liverpool must be able to end the 2020/21 season by being in the top four of the Premier League standings first, before making an official offer. Because, it is said that Mbappe will not want to try out the second caste European competition of the Europa League.
