Chelsea and Real Madrid will decide in London who can compete against Manchester City in the Champions League final in Istanbul on 29 May. The first match, played in Madrid, ended in 1-1.
Chelsea can make it to the final battle for the first time since 2012. Nine years ago, ‘The Blues’ Bayern Munich were the boss after penalties. Real Madrid was last in the final in 2018. ‘De Koninklijke’ took the Champions League for the third time in a row three years ago.
Chelsea has back for the home game with Real midfielder Mateo Kovacic, Real can again have Sergio Ramos and Eden Hazard, who was taken over from Chelsea in 2019.
Real have never managed to beat Chelsea in a European match. Twice it was tied, twice Chelsea won.
On Tuesday evening, Manchester City secured a place in the final at the expense of Paris Saint-Germain. It became 2-0 for the English superpower, thanks to two goals from Riyad Mahrez.
