Reflecting on the Menpora Cup pre-season tournament, the Minister of Youth and Sports, Zainudin Amali, is confident that Liga 1 and Liga 2 can be held this year. Zainudin believes that licensing can be obtained immediately because the health protocol can be well applied in the Menpora Cup.
If you look at the conditions, the Menpora Cup has indeed been going quite smoothly until now. From the group preliminaries to the semifinals, the health protocol prepared by PSSI and PT Liga Indonesia Baru went according to plan.
Participating clubs also follow very strict Health protocols. Supporters who are prohibited from attending the stadium obey the rules. Until now, no players, officials or coaches have been found exposed to the corona virus at all.
“The government appreciates and thanks it because there is nothing reduced at all through the Health protocol. I am optimistic that we can protect this until the final implementation. So I am optimistic that the police will issue permits for League 1 and League 2, “Zainudin said as quoted by Goal.
“I witnessed the implementation of the health protocol firsthand. So when asked whether to recommend, we would definitely recommend. Unless there are other scenarios of implementation with League 1 and League 2, “he concluded.
